Learn a New Skill This Fall: Pasta & Oyster Classes in Vancouver

As the temperatures start to drop, fall is a great time to get into the kitchen and learn a new skill and two Vancouver restaurants are offering hands-on classes that make it easy to do just that.

From mastering fresh pasta to learning how to shuck oysters, Italian Kitchen and Fanny Bay Oyster Bar have some fun, food-focused experiences coming up this fall.

Italian Kitchen Pasta Class

October 17 & November 14 | 2–5pm
$165 per person + tax and gratuity

Spend up to two hours learning how to make potato gnocchi, ravioli du dauphine and your choice of fettuccine or spaghetti, followed by an exclusive dining experience featuring a Pasta Tower showcasing the pastas made during the class.

The experience also includes Mionetto Prosecco or a non-alcoholic cocktail, a glass of red or white wine with dinner, plus an Italian Kitchen-branded apron and pasta cutter wheel.

Fanny Bay Oyster Master Class

October 7, November 18 & December 9 | 6:30pm
$159 per person, all-inclusive

For seafood lovers, Fanny Bay Oyster Bar’s Oyster Master Class is a chance to learn the art of shucking from the experts in an intimate 14-person setting.

Held in the private Kelp Room, the evening includes a Sea’cuterie board, grilled oyster starters, welcome beverage, beverage pairing, oyster tasting and 12 oysters to practise shucking, with gloves and an oyster knife to take home.
