I leave my car and parking worries behind by using The Canada Line. With The Bay stores conveniently located near three different The Canada Line stations it is the best way to “shop till you drop”. Vancouver City Centre, Oakridge – 41st, and Richmond – Brighouse are all steps to a Bay store.
On my most recent trip to The Bay I was on the hunt for trending dresses and shoes in orange or navy both clearance and new arrivals. Early August found me at The Bay Downtown in the shoe department for their fabulous shoe clearance. My newest favourite has to be Badgley Mischka with their silk evening shoes. Absolutely perfect for weddings and many styles come in Dove Grey, White, and Taupe. I scored a pair of Taupe open toe pumps, regular price $325. for $85. after discounts and a $20. off coupon! For new arrivals the navy blue silk pumps are simply fabulous at $375. Or if you’re not in the mood to splurge consider the Nine West peep toe pump in lace with a satin swirl toe at $130.
Also on my shopping list – a long evening dress for a special event. The BCBG boutique on the 2nd floor had exactly what I was looking for. I was thrilled with a great dress, regular price $372. by the time all my discounts were applied only $128.
Next came the practical side of the shopping trip and a search for a basic tailored shirt. The Bay carries a Jones New York long sleeved tailored shirt that is ideal with a business suit, perfect when paired with a pencil skirt or dress slacks, and, my favourite choice, cuffs rolled up and tucked into my most comfortable pair of jeans, add a great leather belt and you’re good to go. This shirt is a wardrobe staple and every woman should have at least two or three of them in her closet. At only $49.99 everyday I have several in white, colours, and stripes.
