PET LOVERS SHOW starts Saturday, February 15

This Saturday the Pet Lover Show returns to Abbotsford’s TRADEX on February 15th & 16th, 2014, bringing together animal lovers and pet owners from across the Lower Mainland. Due to the fantastic turn out last year, the Pet Lover Show has doubled the space this year to 120,000 sq. ft. of exhibits, features, and fun. With over 200 exhibitors, 40 speakers and an entertaining line up of features and events, it is the one-stop venue for lovers of animals of all shapes and sizes and offers a fun family event with lots to see and do.

Highlights of the Pet Lover Show include a Cat Show presented by the Can-Am Cat Club, affiliated with The International Cat Association. Eight official judges are coming from Texas, Washington, Oregon, Ontario and BC, judging specialty and all breed categories. Come see this unique show where the most recognized breeds in the world will be competing and strutting their stuff on both Saturday and Sunday.

Lisa Sun and the K9 Incredibles will rouse smiles and laughter with dog skills and tricks that will wow show attendees of all ages. You may have seen this popular group perform annually at the PNE, in Calgary, up at Whistler Animals Galore (WAG) DogFest and other demonstrations. For those considering adoption, Shelagh Begg, a certified Professional Dog Trainer and the President of HugABull Advocacy and Rescue Society, can help show you how to ensure success for both you and your new canine companion.

This year the Pet Lover Show is the proud supporter of Paws for Hope Animal Foundation and Semiahmoo Animal League. Both of these groups provide support to homeless, street-involved, low-income pet guardians through donations of food, bedding, jackets, and other items, and by offering free animal health clinics and vet care assistance. The Pet Lover Show is holding a Toonies for Hope Raffle, with all proceeds going to this worthy cause.
