Since opening the doors of its stylish store earlier this year, Temper Chocolate Pastry has fast become a go-to spot for people seeking exceptional sweet and savoury culinary confections. With everything from light pastries to cream-filled truffles, to specialty cakes and daily made artisan sandwiches, Temper serves up more than one reason to pop by for a bite.
With summer fast approaching, the team at Temper – led by owner/Chef and longtime Dundarave resident, Steven Hodge is excited to announce several more sweet reasons to visit his award-winning designed space on the North Shore.
New BC craft beer, wine, charcuterie plate and later service
Starting this Friday, June 6th, customers can kick back after a long week and enjoy service until 9pm (Fridays and Saturdays) tempting taste buds with charcuterie offerings from neighbouring Sebastian & Co., paired with either a glass of BC wine (Tightrope Winery, Painted Rock EstateWinery) or cold craft brewed beer (courtesy of Hoyneand Black Kettle breweries).
New seasonally inspired menu
In addition to Temper’s sought after coconut croissants, potika and pain au chocolate creations, Steven Hodge and his talented team have added seasonal fruit tarts, house made banana and lemon loaf, quiche Lorraine and a cheesy twist on the popular ‘Charlie Bite’ (with sharp cheddar and onion). Hot off the grill, lunch-goers can bite into Temper’s new Caprese sandwich or go for their take on a classic grilled cheese (made with local honey, fresh basil, cheddar, heirloom tomato and onion). The little ones will be kept happily satiated with a kid-friendly version too. Balance things out with a summer salad (Quinoa or mixed greens) and grab a spot on their 35-seat patio or head to the nearby beach.
Special occasion cakes, chocolates, custom confections
Temper is the perfect spot to head to for engagement, bridal or baby shower treats. Temper’s team can create stunning custom cakes, desserts and sweet confections perfect for summer occasions (like the new patio-inspired chocolate creations featuring Pimm’s, blueberry and tequila lime flavoured filling). Using top quality Valrhona chocolate and organic ingredients (where possible) quick delivery is guaranteed for orders placed 3 days in advance.
Temper is open Tuesday through Thursday form 8AM until 5PM, Friday and Saturday from 8AM until 9PM andSunday from 8AM until 5PM (closed on Monday).
