WinOne of my favorite wines to pour with appetizers or salads or even a main course like roast chicken is Sauvignon Blanc. This gorgeous Santa Carolina Reserva is one of the best white wine buys I’ve had this year. If I had tasted this blind I would’ve thought it was from New Zealand. It has that grassy aroma that I equate with NZ but turns out if was from another country in the southern hemisphere. Santa Carolina is one of Chile’s most reliable wineries. They were smart to realize importing expert advisors from France would kick their wines up a notch and we all benefit from their decision. This Reserva Sauvignon Blanc is clean and fresh with plenty of citrus in the taste and a wonderful finish. At this price you should keep a couple of bottles around when friends drop in or you just want to enjoy a great value white.
