Garnet red with medium-deep intensity. The nose shows ripe fruit aromas including plum, black currant and blackberries along with spice and forest floor. Good balance with a slightly sweet entry. Bright fruit flavours on the palate with a medium-short finish. A good value wine.
2014 Sauvignon Blanc
Sea Cave
Marlborough, New Zealand
$13.99
Silver Medal
Tasted 2014 12
Green straw in colour with medium intensity. The nose is well integrated with aromas of grass, gooseberry and citrus with sweet apple undertones. Very good balance with good mouthfeel. The palate shows tart gooseberry, lychee and citrus with a medium-long finish. To match, think of fresh things from the sea – oysters, prawns, halibut or salmon. Grilled chicken breasts would be another good choice. At $13.99, what a great buy!
