 Are your tastebuds ready to tango? Friday, April 17 2015 is the 5th annual Malbec World Day. In honour of Argentina’s flagship varietal, British Columbians will be treated to FREE tastings both PRIVATE and select BCLDB stores.
The following wine stores will host complimentary consumer tastings. Each store will pour at least 6 different wines, including Malbecs and Malbec blends. The PRIVATE stores will also be serving samples of traditional Argentine food.
Saturday, April 11, 2015 – 2 – 6 PM Stock up for Malbec World Day at Everything Wine – North Vancouver, South Surrey & Langford locations
Friday, April 17, 2015 – 4 – 8 PM Legacy Liquor Store – 1633 Manitoba Street, Vancouver
Saturday, April 18, 2015 – 2 – 5 pm Guests at the Marquis Wine Cellars event will enjoy the star treatment, with an opportunity to taste a wide range of Malbecs and Malbec blended wines. The wines will be paired with empanadas from Panaderia Latina Bakery, and a DJ will provide music to enhance the festive atmosphere.
The Marquis Wine Cellars event is free, but guests will be welcome to make a donation to the BC Hospitality Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial support to individuals within the hospitality community who are coping with extraordinary costs arising from a serious health crisis. The Foundation also award scholarships and bursaries to students enrolled in hospitality programmes.
In addition, select BC LDB stores throughout the province will offer free tastings of Argentine wines throughout April.
The free tastings are a great way to raise a glass to Argentina’s most popular wine, as well as to get to know some of the country’s outstanding Malbec blends, just in time for the summer BBQ season. |
