Daring acrobatics add jump to Children’s Arts Festival

Take your kids and follow the yellow brick road to the Children’s Arts Festival in Richmond on BC Family Day. The festival features Circus West’s Circus of Oz, a performance that infuses aerial artistry and daring acrobatics into the classic story.

The 8th annual Children’s Arts Festival is presented by Lansdowne Centre and takes place on Monday, February 8from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Richmond Cultural Centre, 7700 Minoru Gate.

Catch the excitement of the Circus of Oz for only $15 per person. This also includes general festival admission. Show times are 11:00 –11:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Please note that audience members for the Circus of Oz aged 11 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. All audience members, including children, must have a ticket. There are no exemptions to this policy regardless of the child’s age.

The festival is your chance to be like a wizard, creating magic by empowering your child’s creativity and imagination. General admission gets you access to all of the Children’s Arts Festival’s imagination stations and performances in the following zones: imagination playground, once upon a time, sonic garden and art alley. General admission can be purchased on site for $5 per person, cash only and non-refundable. Advanced sales of general admission is also available at Lansdowne Centre for $5 per person, cash only and non-refundable. Visit customer service during mall hours to purchase your general festival admission.

Circus of Oz tickets and creativity classes are also currently for sale and can be purchased online at www.richmond.ca/register, by phone 604 276-4300 or in person at the Cultural Centre. For evening or weekend registrations please phone 604-247-8300. Registration is non-refundable. Programs generally sell out in advance so don’t delay. Limited spaces may be available to purchase on the day of the festival.

The Children’s Arts Festival is produced by the City of Richmond and presented by Lansdowne Centre. Zone sponsors are Cowell Auto Group Vancouver International Airport.
