Summer event series offers free music, entertainment and activities
WHAT: Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is bringing back its popular YVR Take-Off Fridays event series for a seventh year. The eight-week summer program will see the terminal come alive with music, entertainment and family-friendly activities. The program will run from July 8 to August 26 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Each week YVR Take–Off Fridays will feature local DJs and live musicians, balloon artists, mascots, face painting, caricatures, food trucks, airport tours, and more. Attendees can try delicious food samples and take advantage of great deals from airport shops and restaurants. The Vancouver Airport Dental Centre will also offer free dental check-ups and cleanings to children.
Select Fridays will have activities from The Vancouver Aquarium, Science World, The Vancouver Canadians, The Canucks Autism Network and the Coca Cola Hug Me Machine. To see the full weekly schedule visit www.yvr.ca
