Our valley is burning
A message from the Sidhu family about the Bald Range Wildfire.
The wildfire that tore through Summerland and Peachland this past weekend has forced over 20,000 people from their homes, and some have lost everything. We know so many people affected by this, and our hearts are broken for them. If you or anyone you love has been affected, our thoughts are with you.
Community has always meant everything to our family. We’ve been growing in this valley since the 1980s, long before Vasanti existed, and everything we have comes from these neighbours, growers, and small businesses.
We’re donating $5 from every bottle sold, in our tasting room and online, to Mamas for Mamas, who are getting supplies and essentials to displaced families. We’re going back to August 1st so every bottle sold this month counts, not just the ones since the fire started, and we’re sending funds daily so help reaches people now rather than weeks from now.
If you’ve bought Vasanti wine this month, thank you. If you haven’t yet, just buy the wine you were already going to buy, it’s doing a bit more right now.
We’re open, indoor service only right now due to air quality. Hours may shift depending on conditions, so check our social pages or Google listing before you visit.
If you’re able to give directly, here are a few local organizations doing incredible work:
