Stanley Park’s Second Beach Pool to be transformed into an art- and music-fuelled fundraiser for Canuck Place Children’s Hospice on Friday, September 9
For one night only, Oasis Beach Club will host a poolside “Art Basel Miami”-style cabana fiesta at Second Beach Pool in Stanley Park* on Friday, September 9, from 7pm to 11pm.
For the first time, the beloved beach vistas and storied pool deck of Second Beach will serve as a backdrop for a new, ticketed fundraising event produced by The Social Concierge and benefiting Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Oasis Beach Club will feature world-class DJs accompanied by live drums and saxophone, interactive installations by local artists and signature cocktails and canapés.
“As BC’s pediatric palliative care provider, Canuck Place is a sanctuary where over 670 children and families live each moment to the fullest,” says Margaret McNeil, Chief Executive Officer of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. “Thanks to Vancouver Park Board’s enthusiastic support, we’re excited to bring that philosophy directly to our Oasis Beach Club guests at a location rarely available for events of this nature.”
“Through events like these, Canuck Place raises funds to provide care to children and families, so we’re thrilled to be working with The Social Concierge to build a new signature fundraising event and share our message of living in the moment.”
“We’re very happy to support Canuck Place with this event through the use of our iconic beachfront pool at Second Beach,” says Vancouver Park Board Chair Sarah Kirby-Yung. “The pool will be closed after the summer swim season and there will be no impact to public access.”
General Admission tickets are $75 (includes a welcome drink and passed canapés) at www.oasisbeachclub.ca
A select number of VIP Private Cabana experiences are available for $5,000 (includes private cabana for 10 with personal concierge, catering, table service and a partial tax receipt of $2,500), also at www.oasisbeachclub.ca
*Oasis Beach Club is 19+. Guests will not have access to the pool.
