Celebrate Robbie Burns Day with a whisky tour of Scotland at Blackbird’s Scotch Bar

The Scotch Bar is Vancouver’s only bar dedicated to Scotland’s national drink

Robbie Burns is the national poet of Scotland, and what better way to celebrate his day at the only Vancouver bar dedicated to Scotland’s national drink?

On January 25th, The Scotch Bar at The Blackbird Pub will be offering a feature whisky list drawn from the over 100 Scotch selection and includes a single malt from the five recognized Scotch regions in the country. The whiskys will de featured for just $10 each ($15/doubles) alongside Russell Brewing’s Wee Angry Scotch Scotch Ale.

• The Balvenie 12yr (Speyside)

• Lagavulin 8yr (Islay)

• The Dalmore 12 (Highlands)

• Auchentoshan 12 (Lowlands)

• Highland Park 12 (Islands)

The Scotch Bar is Vancouver’s only bar dedicated to the lore and enjoyment of Scotch and it also serves at the host for The Blackbird Scotch Whisky Member’s Club, which offers neophytes and enthusiasts the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and appreciation though events and tastings.

And while Robbie Burns would no doubt have preferred that his day be celebrated with a dram of Scotch taken neat, the Blackbird team can also mix up classic Scotch-based cocktails to please any drinker’s palate.
