The ‘Mother of All Mother’s Day Shows’

You’ve probably given your Mother more than a few gray hairs over the years; isn’t it about time you gave her some laughs instead?

This Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 14) Vancouver TheatreSports™ (VTSL) marks the day and celebrates Moms everywhere with its ‘mother of all Mother’s Day shows’ – MOM=WOW; a special, one-performance-only, Mom-themed show just for her.

MOM=WOW explores the many facets of motherhood through different short scenes. Mom will laugh ‘til her sides hurt with vignettes such as ‘Movie Moms,’ ‘Momvolution – from new Mom to Grandmom,’ ‘Mom Myths,’ or ‘Mommy Dearest’ to name a few of the endless possibilities that could arise. As in all VTSL shows, the plot, characters and action are co-developed with the audience – utilizing their suggestions to drive the action and create on-the-spot, unscripted comedy.

Sponsored by Gancia  and its Vancouver agent, ROUST, MOM=WOW starts at 4 pm – giving you plenty of time for a leisurely brunch before the show or allowing you to book a dinner after the performance (which lets out about 5:20 pm).

The Neil Macrae Bar & Lounge at VTSL’s Improv Centre will open that day at 3:30 pm for pre-show drinks and, if the weather is good, the patio deck over-looking the picturesque Marina will also be available. Bar Manager Paul will be crafting celebratory Kir Royales using Gancia Rosé Brut. Patrons also have the option of taking their beverages in to the theatre to enjoy during the show.

Tickets are value-priced at only $25 and include the show PLUS either a Kir Royale, or a premium glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Tickets are on sale now at vtsl.com.
