Limited quantities available of Sustainably-Farmed Wine
Available just in time for al fresco dining, Kelowna’s Mirabel Vineyards is proud to announce the release of its first-ever Rosé, (SKU: 6963 / $30.00 SRP) made from the estate’s sustainably-farmed Pinot Noir.
The grapes were hand-harvested on October 12, 2016, cropped low at just 3.5 tons per acre. Gentle handling of the Pinot Noir, including cool fermentation in stainless steel and six months of lees contact, produced this delicate, dry, saignée-method Rosé. The wine offers subtle aromas of guava and melon with a citrus twist overlay, and is endlessly-versatile with food.
Just 100 cases were produced, ensuring high demand for this limited release.
The wine will be available on select restaurant wine lists this summer, and at New District (Mirabel’s exclusive retail partner). Limited quantities are available through the Mirabel Vineyards mailing list. Wine lovers can send a request to purchase at info@nullmirabelvineyards.com.
Mirabel Vineyards will be participating in the 2017 BC Pinot Noir Celebration, taking place on Saturday, August 19 at Linden Gardens in Kaleden. Learn more and purchase tickets at bcpinotnoir.ca.
About Mirabel Vineyards:
Mirabel, “of wondrous beauty”, perfectly represents the Reimer family’s stunning South East Kelowna hilltop estate and vineyard overlooking the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
Owned by Doug and Dawn Reimer, the south-western exposed site is planted to six acres of three specially-selected clones of Pinot Noir. Just two acres of Chardonnay will be planted in 2017. The vineyard is sustainably farmed, with a crop yield of 2.5 tons per acre.
Mirabel Vineyards proudly offers small batch Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a saignée-mothod rosé, made at Okanagan Crush Pad by Matt Dumayne. This focused portfolio perfectly reflects the family’s commitment to quality and producing luxurious, elegant, and delicious wines.
