The final countdown is on! We’re counting down the days until beer lovers unite at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre to celebrate the 23rd Annual Okanagan Fest of Ale.
The Okanagan’s long-standing and well-loved festival celebrating everything to do with beer is quickly approaching! It runs on Friday April 13th from 4-9pm and Saturday April 144h from 12-6pm and only a limited number of tickets remain.
Event Highlights Include:
66 Brewer Booths showcasing craft beer and cider from 69 craft breweries and cideries from BC and beyond with nearly 200 quality crafted beers and ciders including new releases, experimental brews and cask ales available for or tasting . 10 of the breweries are new to the event, 5 with be featuring artisanal ciders from the Okanagan plus several gluten free options.
12 Food Booths serving up an amazing array of delicious dishes, and number of whom will be putting a craft themed twist on their dish. Watch for Cannery Brewing paired with Brodo Kitchen, Howling Moon Cider paired with Craft Corner Kitchen, Tin Whistle Brewing paired with Nest & Nectar, Euroweenie paired with Four Winds Brewing and Tree Brewing paired with Surf Side California Street Food.
Live Entertainment Inside and Out: DJ Nathan Shakes will be spinning tunes in between sets from an eclectic mix of talented performers with styles as diverse as the selection of brews being offered at the event.
First Ever Fest of Ale Best Team Tee: Kick off Friday in Style – The team from Travel Penticton will be onsite and on the hunt for the Best Team-Tee. Participation prizes for each team with a grand prize up for grabs (Friday 3:30 – 6:30 only).

Quench your thirst for knowledge at the brewing education station manned by the friendly folks from Trellis and Vine Craft house or find out more about the local and provincial craft beer scene at the CAMRA/BC Ale Trail Booth.
Cast your vote for People’s Choice Best Beer, Best Cider, Best Food & Best Label with the folks from Canadian Craft Tours. People’s choice winners announced Saturday at 5 pm. Judges Choice winners announced at 3 pm Saturday.
Pop in for a pic at the onsite photo booth manned by the friendly folks from Moments Under Frame Photography or Stop by the onsite Pop Up Liquor Store to shop for your favourite festival finds with the crew from Clancy’s Liquor Store.
Plan to enjoy the Fest-of-Ale and get home safely! $2 discount vouchers will be available to all attendees – just provide your voucher to your driver for your discount.
Arriving early or staying late? Make plans to stop by the 7 breweries and 12 cideries in the South Okanagan, or partake in some of the craft themed events taking place around town during Okanagan Beer Week
With just under a week to go until the kegs roll in and the casks are tapped, organizers report ticket sales have topped their expectations and encourage anyone wishing to attend the event to purchase their tickets soon. Tickets at the door are subject to availability – don’t be disappointed and pick yours up in advance!
