Get ready for some of the season’s most ghoulish treats as Burnaby Heights’ Chez Christophe Chocolaterie Patisserie (4717 Hastings Street) launches its 2018 Halloween collection on October 12th. From spooky chocolate eyeballs, ghost lollipops, to seasonal chocolate showpieces in the form of a witch’s caldron and classic pumpkin, there is something for all ages.
“Chocolate is synonymous with Halloween, and this year we wanted to create a collection that’s not only fun but great as party favours, elevated trick-or-treat sweets, or a just because for the season,” says Christophe Bonzon, pastry chef and owner of Chez Christophe. “Our spooky eyeballs definitely make a return as they were a hit last year!”
Chocolate lollipops ($2.50 per or three for $6.95) include a milk chocolate bat and dark chocolate skull.
The popular chocolate eyeballs($3.95) are made with milk chocolate and artfully handcrafted to look like real eyeballs – down to the pupils.
For the chocolate sculptures, Macbeth’s caldron($23.95) is filled with chocolate eyeballs, brains, and bones and can conjure-up the scariest of spells, while the black bat ($16.95) is an abstract and beautiful modern creation.
The classic pumpkin ($14.95) is a handcrafted milk chocolate creation in a deep autumn orange.
Chez Christophe’s Halloween collection is available starting Friday, October 12th, 2018. Customers are welcome to pre-order their cakes and pumpkin tarts for pick-up any time through the new website at www.chez-christophe.ca.
About Chez Christophe
In 2013, award-winning pastry chef, chocolatier, and newly minted Cacao Barry Ambassador Christophe Bonzon opened Chez Christophe Chocolaterie and Patisserie with his wife Jess Bonzon in the bustling Burnaby Heights neighbourhood. Bringing a bit of Swiss flair to Canada, their collection of fine handmade chocolates ranges from artistic chocolate sculptures, creative truffle flavours to signature chocolate bars, and seasonal favourites. Customers can also find an array of macarons, viennoiserie, desserts, and cakes at Chez Christophe. Due to overwhelming support, the pair moved to a larger location in 2016 with more seating, an outdoor patio, and an expanded menu with sandwiches.
Chez Christophe is located at 4717 Hastings Street, Burnaby, British Columbia. For more information, visit www.chez-christophe.ca.
