Step into a magical winter wonderland at the Anvil Centre, The venue will be filled with a cornucopia of entertainment for everyone – from choirs, singalongs, art installations, musical performances, arts and crafts to a hip-hop dance party and a wintry labyrinth to enjoy. The Anvil Centre will come alive with joyous sounds and displays. . This is also a celebration of the impressive talent participating in this event who now reside  New Westminster, which has evolved into a dynamic hub of professional artists, musicians and performers.

Here are just some highlights of events taking place: 

Dec. 18 – 29 @1pm–7pm daily  Winter World Walk the wintery labyrinth and enjoy the entertainment stage in a transformation of Anvil Centre you have to see to believe.  No charge to enjoy Level 1 programs.  Plus, Arts, Crafts and Heritage activities daily.

Dec. 18 @7pm Opening Night Winter’s Lights Singalong Join in for an evening of joyful songs with a roster of choirs, followed by a performance by Quayside Voices. 

Dec. 19 @7pm Indigenous Circle – Storytelling & Tea Join in uplifting Coast Salish cultural practices – Free ticket required 

December 19 – 22   

4:30pm  daily Snow Globe Dances  Small Stages presents hip hop, tap and contemporary performances inside a magical snow globe

5pm – 7pm Festive Mixers – the bar is open to mix and mingle with neighbours, co-workers and friends

5:30pm – 6:30pm Global Harmony Pairings

December 20: Cassius Khan (tabla/voice) and David Hodgson (saxophone)
December 21: Lan Tung (erhu) and Marina Hasselberg (cello)

Dec. 20 @7pm Mindful Yoga and Meditation Free drop in

Dec. 21 & 22 @7pm  Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” A professional reading of featuring Russell Roberts as Scrooge, directed by Colleen Winton. 

Tickets – $10 adults / $5 students and children

Dec. 23 @7pm Return of Light Concert  Four pairs of musicians come together to display  exquisite musicianship. Hear Jodi Proznick (bass) and Natasha D’Agostino (voice); Cassius Khan (tabla/voice) and David Hodgson (saxophone)); Lan Tung (erhu) and Marina Hasselberg (cello); John Reischman (mandolin) and Patrick M’Gonigle (fiddle). 

Tickets – $20 adults / $10 students and children

Dec. 27 @7pm The Interactive Magic of Travis Bernhardt An interactive comedy and magic show for the whole family. Tickets: $10 adults / $5 students and children

Dec. 28 @7pm Hot in Here with DJ Softieshan 

Femme forward pop and hip-hop dance party. 

Tickets: $10 adults / $5 students 

Dec. 29 @7pm the Blackthorn Ceilidh Band Tickets: $5

Events on the main level are free, but tickets are required for events in the Theatre.
