Brewers rally in celebration of 10th annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week
VCBW hosts 2019 collaboration brew day at Four Winds Brewing Co.

More than 100 brewers and members of the craft beer community from across B.C. gathered at Four Winds Brewing Co. in Delta to celebrate the forthcoming Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW)—a 10-day celebration of craft beer that kicks off on the last Friday of May. This annual tradition of coming together to commemorate VCBW with a collaborative brew has grown into one of the most highly anticipated trade events of the year.

Four Winds Brewing Co., in partnership with Burnaby’s Dageraad Brewing and Vancouver’s Powell Brewery, developed the recipe for the 10th annual VCBW Collaboration Beer. These three award-winning Metro Vancouver breweries were joined by more than 30 breweries from across the province to brew Ten, a dry-hopped table saison that is low in alcohol and bursting with tropical flavours, making it an extremely satisfying summer beer.

Brewers and spectators alike received a sneak peek at the can design featuring an illustration of the number ten created by prolific Canadian artist Luke Ramsey.

This milestone-marking beer is scheduled to hit shelves in mid-May, just a few weeks before the 10th annual VCBW kicks off on Friday, May 31. Ten, the VCBW 2019 Collaboration Beer, will be available in four-packs of 473 mL cans at select private liquor and beer stores, and on draft at the three collaborating breweries as well as a few selected bars and restaurants. Partial proceeds from the sales of this dry-hopped table saison will be donated to the BC Hospitality Foundation.

About Vancouver Craft Beer Week
Celebrating 10 years of craft beer and craft culture, Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) has become the most anticipated beer and cider festival in Western Canada. VCBW has evolved from Canada’s first-ever craft beer week into a cultural engine that showcases music, food, art, and craft beer at events across the city starting the last Friday in May every year. VCBW 2019 kicks off on Friday, May 31, continuing throughout the week with events and programming all over the city, culminating at the historic PNE fairgrounds on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, where more than 100 craft breweries and cideries will be pouring 300+ beers and ciders.
