The VSO Volunteers Host 10th Annual Benefit for Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Aboard Holland America Line ms Noordam, June 9

The VSO Volunteers will host the 10th annual fundraiser luncheon for the VSO aboard the Holland America cruise ship ms Noordam on June 9, 2019.

Back by popular demand, the 10th annual Holland America Luncheon has been a long-standing tradition of the VSO Volunteers since 2009.

Since its inception, the event has sold out year after year and has raised more than $166,000 with proceeds going towards supporting various productions of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. This year, the VSO Volunteers have set a goal to raise $25,000.

“Like most, my passion for orchestra music was a primary attraction to volunteer for the VSO. The VSO is friendly organization and provides a thriving environment for the volunteers to grow, including providing leadership opportunities. This is a huge impetus for volunteers wanting to contribute our best to support the VSO and its work to enrich the lives through music across our community,” said VSO Volunteer Executive Council Chair, Azmina Manji.

Guests will have an opportunity to get up close and personal with VSO Music Director Maestro Otto Tausk while enjoying a four-course gourmet lunch aboard the ms Noordam and Holland America Line’s five-star hospitality.

Following lunch, a select group of VSO musicians will perform a delightful program in the Vista Show Lounge.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, April 26 at 10AM. Registration is open until June 3 and tickets are $99 per person. For full details on the fundraiser luncheon, visit https://www.vancouversymphony.ca/support/2019-holland-america-luncheon/
