Retail business veteran Jon De Porter acquires license to open Maison Busatti in Canada

 

The iconic Tuscan weaver, Busatti, announced the arrival of its first Canadian location at Designers Walk (162 Bedford Ave) in Toronto led by renowned designer Jon De Porter. Operating under licence to the Italian company, the storefront will trade under the bilingual name Maison Busatti.

 

The opening of its first Canadian door entrenches the position of the family business on a global scale. Busatti celebrates its 177th birthday this year with locations on every continent, now including the Toronto emporium in the heart of the city’s interior design district, open through 2019.

Open to the public and the trade, the brick and mortar location holds some of the brands most celebrated products including outstanding and colourful kitchen towels, bespoke bed sheets, fringed towels as well as textiles by the meter. Open Monday through Friday 12 P.M. – 8 P.M., Saturdays by appointment and Sunday from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M., Maison Busatti also carries luxury home fragrance line Thucassi and fine Florentine papers by Rossi 1931.  The brand’s ecommerce platform, www.maisonbusatti.com will begin to ship within Canada as of July 31, 2019.
