Tacofino to Open Newest Location in Vancouver’s Kitsilano Neighbourhood This Fall

TACOFINO TO OPEN NEWEST LOCATION IN VANCOUVER’S KITSILANO NEIGHBOURHOOD THIS FALL

Tacofino Brings its Iconic, Surf-Centric Style and Signature Fare To New Counter-Service Outpost at 1909 West 4th Avenue

Tacofino will bring its beloved Baja-by-way-of-West-Coast cuisine to a new Vancouver neighbourhood when it opens its newest location at 1909 West 4th Avenue early this Fall.

Occupying 1,985 square feet of space in the heart of Kitsilano, the new counter-service location will feature dine-in and take-out options from a menu of Tacofino’s signature Baja-inspired fare signature developed by co-founder Jay Sussman and Michelin-starred Regional Executive Chef Stefan Hartmann.

“We’ve always been asked when we’re going to finally introduce Tacofino to the West Side of Vancouver,” says Sussman, “so we’re grateful to be able to become a part of the Kits community this fall.”

The décor and design of the new restaurant is being overseen by longtime Tacofino collaborator Shiloh Sukkau, who also helped design the brand’s Gastown Taco Bar, Yaletown Burrito Bar, Downtown Oasis and Mount Pleasant Ocho locations.

Tacofino Kits is the latest location in a family of restaurants that is celebrating 10 years since the brand was born in the surfside town of Tofino, BC with the opening of the original Tacofino Cantina. A decade later, Tacofino now encompasses that original location, seven brick-and-mortar restaurants in Vancouver and Victoria and a fleet of food trucks that travels to venues throughout Vancouver five days a week.

Further information regarding Tacofino’s newest location will be revealed in the coming weeks. For more on Tacofino, go to tacofino.com, become a fan of /TacofinoVAN on Facebook or follow @TacofinoVAN on Twitter and Instagram.
