Cafes Celebrate Start of Summer by Introducing New Thirst-Quenching Lineup of Iced Tea, Coffee and Four Varieties of Açaí Bowls
Honolulu Coffee Vancouver is shaking up some summer spirit by introducing a new Hawaiian-inspired menu of seasonal specialties at its Downtown (888 Nelson Street) and Kerrisdale (2098 W. 41st Avenue) locations.
Available for in-store or takeout service, the new Honolulu Coffee Vancouver summer menu includes an array of iced tea and coffee drinks and açaí bowls that feature a heat-beating frozen base of açaí berries, strawberries, blueberries, bananas and apple juice sweetened with honey and served in eco-friendly compostable bowls:
New Summer Drinks
- Matcha Lychee Soda — a refreshing blend of amai matcha sweetened with housemade lychee syrup and topped with San Pellegrino, $7;
- Lychee Oolong Iced Tea — iced oolong tea lightly sweetened with housemade lychee syrup and offering subtle notes of fragrant gardenia and honeydew melon, $6;
- Honey Coconut Cold Brew — cold brew shaken with honey syrup and coconut milk, $6.80.
Açaí Bowls
- The Basic — topped with fresh bananas and housemade granola, $11;
- The Classic — topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, housemade granola and a sprinkle of coconut flakes, $14;
- The Hawaiian — topped with fresh bananas, toasted macadamia nuts, almond butter, housemade granola and coconut flakes, $16;
- Build Your Own Bowl — customizable toppings include fresh blueberries, strawberries, bananas, housemade granola, almond butter, macadamia nuts, coconut flakes or honey, starting at $8, with toppings $1.50 to $2 each.
Both Honolulu Coffee Vancouver locations recently reopened for limited in-store seating with a number of health and safety protocols in place to ensure the continued well-being of its staff and guests, including the temporary suspension of cash payments and use of personal mugs. The two locations also allow customers to phone in orders for pickup while also offering takeout and delivery through Uber Eats (Kerrisdale and Nelson) and DoorDash.
