Valentine’s Day Offers to Make This Year a Special One
With Valentine’s Day and a long weekend approaching, we wanted to create a bundle that would be perfect for pairing with your Valentine, with a cozy weekend at home, or a special Sunday dinner. Our Home Block vineyard in Kelowna is truly the heart and soul of CedarCreek and we wanted to share with you a specially selected bundle of wines to go along with some of our favourite food pairings.
2019 Estate Pinot Gris – I love to kick off the evening with this wine. My go-to is a fresh salad that includes a bed of spinach and arugula topped with grilled peaches, toasted almonds and a lemon vinaigrette.
2018 Estate Pinot Noir – A classic Pinot. We love fresh pasta at home – especially when it’s simple and with great local ingredients. The Roman-classic Cacio e Pepe is such an easy and tasty one to make at home. Fresh cracked pepper is key, olive oil, and a LOT of freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese. The freshness of our Estate Pinot will be a terrific match.
2019 Platinum Block 7 Pinot Gris – “A personal favourite. The richness and complexity of the fruit coming from this unique and incredibly stone section of vineyard above the property make this Pinot Gris truly distinct. While a great pairing with fresh seafood and a bit of spice, we really like this wine at home to end a meal. Hard cheeses – like Parmigiano Reggiano – with a touch of balsamic vinegar make for such a fun and delicious pairing with this off-dry single-block Pinot Gris. A perfect end to a great meal.
