ACCOR HOTELS IN NORTH AMERICA CELEBRATE PRIDE MONTH

ACCOR HOTELS IN NORTH AMERICA SHOW UP FOR PRIDE MONTH WITH SPECIAL PACKAGES
AND OFFERS–A REMINDER THAT ALL LOVE IS WELCOME

Nearly fifty Accor hotels across North America, including beloved addresses from Fairmont, Sofitel and 21c Museum Hotels, will be flying the rainbow flag in June and beyond to celebrate, honour and support Pride. In addition to onsite celebrations, parades, block parties, and limited-edition food and beverage menu items, many of the hotels will be offering a “Love is Love”
package, available from June 1 through Sept 6, 2021, where a portion of each booking will be donated to local organizations supporting LGBTQ+ advocacy.

Below, a sampling of Pride month celebrations from select Accor hotels in Canada:

Fairmont Royal York (Toronto) will be offering a special Pride package that includes 15% off general rates, late checkout and a donation to the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA). This package also includes a special amenity with a twist on their 1929 French macaroons in Pride colours. Guests can also visit the Clockwork Terrace (opening June 16, pending government restrictions), which will host Pride brunches leading up to Toronto’s virtual Pride Parade. For the entire month of June, Clockwork Terrace will also be offering a canned Pride cocktail, the Sashay Sangria, for online purchase and on the terrace. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to charity.

Fairmont Empress (Victoria) will be hosting a Pride lunch on the lawn complete with Pride picnic decor and a rainbow art installation outside the hotel. Guests can enjoy an afternoon picnic indulging in champagne and finger foods while enjoying scenic views of the harbour and the hotel’s garden of pride-coloured blooms. A portion of each ticket’s sales will also be donated to the Victoria Pride Society. Fairmont Empress will also be offering decadent Pride desserts (brown butter financier, vanilla ganache monte and raspberry jam with a rainbow chocolate mousse ball on top) and cocktails for the entire month of June with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Victoria Pride Society.

The Vancouver properties (Fairmont Pacific Rim, Fairmont Waterfront, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and
Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel) have partnered with Dr. Peter AIDS and Vancouver Pride Society for several pride activations. Kendall Gender will be the official Pride ambassador where she will be represented in engaging videos, social campaigns, blog posts and pop-up digital events. In addition, a “Love is Love” package and Pride-themed food and beverage offerings, such as Pride picnics and Afternoon Teas, (available as dine-in or take-out) will be available for the entire month of June with a portion of the proceeds going to the Dr. Peter AIDS and Vancouver Pride Society. The hotels will also offer Fairmont VIP Pride Lounge Pop-ups for the city’s Pride festivities and have partnered with a local television station to run a decentralized parade in newscast format.
