The Christmas Store at Potters Returns for 2021 Holiday Season
Western Canada’s largest Christmas store, open now through December 24
Deck the halls! Western Canada’s largest Christmas store returns to the Lower Mainland with the official launch of The Christmas Store at Potters. Now celebrating its 17th year, the merry-making wonderland boasts a massive selection of festive décor, giftware, and specialty items curated from around the world.
Each year, Potters Nursery is transformed from a full-service garden centre to an immersive 28,000-square-foot festive experience. The seasonal pop-up features thousands of unique hand-picked ornaments, designer trees and collectibles, stocking stuffers, food items and much more. Far beyond your typical holiday shopping experience, The Christmas Store at Potters brings the magic of the holiday season to life in an array of intricate holiday displays.
Glean decorating inspiration from the new Merry & Bright, Red & White front entrance display, greeting visitors with thousands of glimmering red and white ornaments. Then, venture into the 3,000-square-foot Dark Room, illuminated by more than 75 different Christmas-themed canvas paintings and over 60 different Christmas-themed water lanterns. Get captivated by the whimsical Bee Tree display (an upside-down tree featuring a giant honeycomb and bee-themed ornaments) and the impressive Candy Land Sweet Tree (a white tree with a three-foot scoop of “ice cream” at the top, complemented by ornaments in the shape of ice cream cones, donuts, cupcakes and more).
New this year is the Train Station, an entire section devoted to trains with an unconventional train-around-the-tree display—a train that runs around the tree instead of under it. Also new is MouseTown, an automated village populated and run by tiny mice.
Check off your gift-giving list as you peruse Potters’ incredible inventory of toys, jigsaw puzzles, games, Coca-Cola collectibles (including ornaments and figurines), over 50 styles of Christmas stockings, and unique items for those hard-to-buy-for adults. Looking for ways to spoil your furry friend? Be sure to stop by Petland, an area decked out in pet-themed tree ornaments, cushions and stockings.
After you’ve worked up an appetite, pay a visit to the Gourmet Food area, offering thousands of specialty products, including hot chocolate from Montreal’s Gourmet Village (available in 36 different colours, flavours and packages); new edible Food Crayons (handcrafted in Montreal) — just “sharpen” the crayon to add pizzazz to meals; locally-made jellies and syrups from Krause Berry Farms and The Preservatory; maple syrup and maple butter from Muskoka Lodge; and delicious locally-roasted artisan coffee.
And kids can remain on the “nice list” between now and December 24 by tracking good deeds using “Santa’s Report Card,” available free for the asking. Ignite your holiday spirit while supporting local at The Christmas Store at Potters, open now through December 24.
