Some notes on the wine:
The 2020 vintage of Célestiale is a blend of 56% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 12% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot.
Only those barrels displaying ideal characteristics were selected for this wine.
All of the same skill, care and time-honoured artisanal winemaking techniques go into making Célestiale as Signature, Clos du Soleil’s flagship wine.
In terms of flavour, you can expect a wine that is soft and layered, dominated by fresh ripe fruit flavours of raspberry, blackberry, and pomegranate, with more subtle notes of forest undergrowth and spice, with juicy acidity.
In short, Célestiale is a beautiful expression of both the Similkameen land where the grapes are grown, and our winemaker’s passion for low-intervention winemaking which allows the fruit to shine.
