City Centre Artist Lodge X Ice Cream Truck Live Present:
CONNECT X-Mas Market & Music Festival: Love is the Warmest Colour
This holiday season, City Centre Artist Lodge will be ground zero for CONNECT X-Mas Market & Music Festival: Love is the Warmest Colour. This two-day community festival will combine an open studio art sale with live music and food trucks for a unique, immersive, celebration of Vancouver’s creative spirit.
Presented by the City Centre Artist Lodge X Ice Cream Truck Live, the festival will be held Saturday, December 3rd and Sunday, December 4th with a studio art sale from 11am-7pm daily flowing into a live music festival each evening from 7pm-11pm.
Located in an iconic mid-century low-rise motel in the heart of Mt. Pleasant, City Centre Artist Lodge is a project of the Narrow Group containing 79 low barrier artists units across 18,000 square feet of space walls. The Open Studio Art Sale will be a unique opportunity to view the artists’ work, learn about their influences, and purchase art, whether for holiday gifts or to add home or office inspiration.
Ice Cream Truck Live was launched in 2020 by producer Roberto Richards as a response to Covid’s devastating impacts on the local musicians. It has since hosted over 20 pop-up shows in unique outdoor spaces, giving a platform to a diverse group of local artists. During the CONNECT X-Mas Market & Music Festival, the signature Neapolitan-coloured ice cream truck will be onsite alongside two stages showcasing some of Vancouver’s most vibrant musical talent.
There is no admission fee for the open studio art sale and ticket details for the music festival can be found at @icecreamtrucklive. Visit the event page for artist, performer, and event news.
