2020 Gewürztraminer
Rust
Oliver, BC
$18.70
Golden yellow/apricot in colour with medium-plus intensity.  The aromatic nose shows aromas of peach, apricot, limeade, mango, floral, and hints of spice.  Good balance and good body.  Dry on the palate with flavours of honey, melon, passion fruit, and mango followed by a medium-plus finish with just a touch of characteristic bitterness which makes it a good match for foods, especially Asian cuisines.

2021 Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon
Fairview Cellars
Oliver, BC
$23.99
There is no mistaking what this wine is.  Lemon yellow with medium-minus intensity.  The nose is bold with aromas of grass, gooseberry, fresh peas, citrus, gunflint, melon, and mandarin notes with the Semillon adding a touch of lanolin.  Well balanced with good mouthfeel.  The flavours mirror the nose followed by a medium-long finish.  The nose keeps opening up with time to breathe.  Impressive.

2021 Swear to God (Chardonnay)
Blasted Church
Okanagan Falls, BC
$30.00
Bright lemon yellow with medium intensity.  A well-integrated nose of oak and fruit showing aromas of toast, lemon, cream, honey, apple, melon, vanilla, and pencil shavings.  Well balanced.  The palate echoes the nose
followed by a medium-long finish with flavours lingering.

2022 Rosé (Estate)
Liber Farm and Winery
Osoyoos, BC
$23.99
Made from 100% organic merlot grapes. Queen Anne cherry red tinged with orange and medium-minus intensity.  Aromas of strawberry, cherry, orange zest, floral, raspberry and rhubarb on the nose.  Good balance with just the slightest sweet edge.  The flavours follow the nose.  A medium-plus finish.  This is a lovely patio wine or serve with ‘appies’ when guests arrive.  Also pair with grilled Italian sausages.  Much better with a few years in the cellar.

2022 Dolcetto
Moon Curser
Osoyoos, BC
$29.99
This grape has its roots in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy.  Typically, these are fresh, fruity, tannic wines that are drunk young.  Bravo to Moon Curser for introducing this little-known grape to BC wine lovers.   Ruby red in colour with a purple rim and medium-deep intensity.  A fruit-forward nose showing aromas of bright red fruit including sour cherries, tart blueberries, raspberries, rhubarb and wild berries.  Good balance with medium body.  The palate reflects the nose followed by a medium-plus finish.  This wine would be a lovely match for tomato-based dishes – pizza, pasta, meatloaf or roasted herb chicken.  If I had another, I’d be saving it for another 3-5 years.
