Experience Metro Vancouver’s hottest new interactive gaming centre: Activate Coquitlam! Located in a 9,756-square-foot space in the Maillardville neighbourhood, jump, duck, run, crawl, scan, and shoot your way through Activate’s immersive, high-energy game room challenges.
Each player wears an electronic wristband, which is used to “check-in” at each game room, track game progress and play duration, and accumulate scores & coins. Coins can be redeemed for cool merch!
There are 10 different rooms and a number of 1- to 3-minute games for each room to choose from:
- Strike – throw balls at targets on split screens
- Portals – drop a ball in the correct location among a series of tubes
- Press – find patterns lit up on the 360-degree wall
- Laser – dodge, avoid, or shoot laser beams
- Hoops – leveled-up arcade basketball
- Scan – tap your wristband at the correct locations according to the screen prompts
- Control – press the correct buttons or step on foot tiles according to the screen prompts
- Hide – find letters or numbers while hiding from a giant electronic eye
- Grid – step on the correct illuminated floor tiles according to the audio instructions
- Mega Grid – a much larger and more intense Grid!
- Photo – capture group pics in front of fun backgrounds
Friendly and attentive staff are always available to help explain the game options for each room and recommend their favourites!

Activate games are designed for a group of 2 to 5 players, who are at least 6 years old. Kids aged 6 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult in the facility.
There are changing rooms and complimentary lockers to store your belongings. Food and drinks are strictly not allowed in the gaming areas. Water fountains and restrooms are available towards the back. Gaming space is maximized in the facility so there are no party or event rooms available. There is limited seating in the registration area.
