On March 12th, The Greek Yaletown is celebrating 10 great years with an all-day customer appreciation menu featuring some their greatest hits and favourite dishes starting from just $3 with delicious local beers and house sangria to pair with them for just $5.

When The Greek Yaletown opened 10 years ago, it marked the first foray across the Lion’s Gate Bridge for the Makris family who had run North Vancouver’s Anatoli Souvlaki since 1984. The same family recipes and warm welcomes quickly became a Yaletown favourite with the family’s second generation throwing their arms open and making The Greek a must-visit spot for celebrations, healthy lunches, and intimate dinners.

To thank the neighbourhood for an amazing decade, The Greek Yaletown is going to offer a special one day only Anniversary all-day happy hour menu at amazing prices. Favourites like Hummus or Keftedes can be enjoyed for $3, Calamari or Pork Souvlaki for $4, and Greek Salad or Chicken Souvlaki for $5. And because it’s a party, every guest during the day will be offered a “birthday cake” of a mini baklava.

“We were a little nervous when we opened The Greek Yaletown,” said Iani Makris. “It was our first restaurant outside North Vancouver, but the neighbourhood welcomed us so warmly and we’re looking forward to celebrating this anniversary with them.” His brother Alexi added: “Yaletown has become a second home for our family, and we’re thrilled to be able to thank everyone for helping us reach this milestone.”

Over the winter, The Greek Yaletown has been treated to extensive upgrades to the kitchen and a brand-new bar, and the team is excited to welcome friends old and new to enjoy this celebration.
