Bartier Bros. Pristine the perfect Spring to Summer Wines

As spring turns to summer wine lovers who are looking for bright, crisp, deliciously lighter wines can look no further than the Pristine line of Bartier wines. Grown in Washington State, made in Oliver, B.C.

For my first foray I selected two Pristine wines to try, and unequivocally, these are everything I look for in a spring and summer wine to enjoy on the patio, at the beach, on a boat or anywhere that gives you that relaxed vibe.

Pristine Vin Gris 2024 (Pinot Gris Rosé)

Vin Gris refers to the process where dark-skinned grapes are treated like a white wine in their processing, leaving a light colour to the finished wine.

Origin:
Grown in the Zillah Vineyard, Rattlesnake Hills AVA, Washington State
Made in Oliver, BC

Vineyard Notes:
High elevation, cool, rocky silty loam, south aspect

Processes:
Night harvested, destemmed, crushed, and pressed immediately.  Moderately cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks using Prise de Mousse yeast. Filtered cold with no fining.

A note on the wine:
Lily fresh, crustacean friendly.

Blend: 100% Pinot Gris

Production: 317 cases

Alcohol    11%

Enticing aromas of strawberries and lighter stonefruit. White peach with a touch of citrus. Pleasantly floral with just a hint of fresh brioche.

The wine is light in colour with just a touch of amber that gives the wine a golden hue.

Freshness on the palate with excellent acidity. Lingering flavours of stone fruits exhibiting good body and a spicy finish.

A show stopping clear colour that changes depending on the time of day you enjoy the wine. It ranges from rose gold to sunset amber.

Initially aromas of gardenia followed by wild strawberries, Mandarin oranges, and a little tropical scent.

Light and fresh with some very slight tannins with fruity notes and an excellent level of acidity. Red apple and mild stonefruit flavours make this a pleasant, and excellent, pairing wine.

$19.99 available online or at the winery
