Don’t let those last days of summer slip away without
a visit to the Vancouver Aquarium.
Just recently I took four children, ranging in age from 7 to 13, to the Vancouver Aquarium. Hubby and I had planned in advance using the VanAqua.org website. Right now there are a few options including a free child admission for each adult adission purchased online through September 1st.
Not only is the offer a money saver, it also helps you skip the lines of buying your admission in person at the aquarium.
Nestled in the heart of Stanley Park, Vancouver Aquarium is home to over 65,000 amazing animals—from playful rescued sea otters to splashing sea lions—across 120 world-class indoor and outdoor exhibits. Experience the wonders of wildlife around the world, from the enchanting tides of local Canadian waters to the vibrant coral reefs of the Tropics, the exotic beauty of the Amazon rainforest, and beyond.
When we arrived there was no waiting with the admission tickets already downloaded to my phone. Easy. peasy. First stop: consider having your portrait taken by a professinal photographer, yes that’s right. Just inside the entryway is a booth offering a professional family portrait. I know it seems silly but let me tell you five years, ten years and many years from now you will be so glad you have that reminder of the day your family spent at the Vancouver Aquarium.

We had a ball at the Vancouver Aquarium. We travelled by bus, tranferring once to the Stanley Park bus and then just a short 5 minute walk. Enjoy both the indoor and the outdoor exhibits. Have a meal or a snack. Remember to take lots of pictures! We received complimentary one-time passes to facilitate this feature. All photos (except as noted) MyVanCity.
