Party planners and at-home cooks looking to fire up their seafood-forward feasts for friends, family and guests in their own kitchens this holiday season can begin placing online pre-orders now at fannybayoysters.com for specialties like Atlantic lobster, uni, oysters, fresh, canned and frozen seafood and more for pick-up throughout the month of December and including Christmas Eve (Weds., Dec. 24th) pick-ups from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Beyond an ever-changing assortment of live oysters and raw bar features ready to go including mussels and clams, live and cooked Dungeness crab, salmon, rainbow trout and sturgeon caviar and chowders, broths, stocks and bisques, other items that are available now for pre-order at the Shellfish Market for the festive season include:
- Live and Cooked Whole Nova Scotia Lobster (sold by weight for live to go, cooked to go, or dine in at the Oyster Bar at market price)
- Shuckers’ Oyster Packs in regular and premium options that include a selection of fresh oysters with lemon, mignonette and a shucking knife;
- ‘Sea-Cuterie’ Platters featuring Ekone smoked scallops, smoked Albacore tuna crudo, smoked Ekone mussels, house beet cured salmon, jumbo prawns, house-made pickles, salt & vinegar chips, tortilla chips and grilled sourdough bread (for four people);
- Baked Oyster Kits, Dungeness Crab Cakes and Salmon & Lingcod ready to bake pies
- BC Sablefish, Ling Cod Cheeks and Fillets and sashimi-grade Albacore Tuna Loin;

New this year to the Fanny Bay Shellfish Market are collaborations with Joie Farms Winery and Holy Duck Chili Oil. Customers can get a beautiful bottle of Joie’s Sparkling Rosé Plein de Vie with a premium 18pc oyster pack for $76.85 and receive a recipe card to make their own Joie-based mignonette, or add a jar of locally made Holy Duck Chili Oil (in Spot Prawn or Extra Ducking Spicy varieties) to their baked/grilled Oyster Kits from $43+ tax.
Fanny Bay’s master shucker Hannah Nguyen will also make an appearance at a New Year’s Eve Pop-Up at Copperpenny Distilling Co. in North Vancouver’s Lower Lonsdale district from 2 to 7 p.m. on Weds., Dec. 31st at 103-288 Esplanade E Ave. where she will show off her shucking skills during an event also featuring a live DJ and caviar and prawn cocktails.

The Fanny Bay Oyster Bar will be closed on Christmas Eve (Tues., Dec. 24th) and Christmas Day (Weds., Dec. 25th) but open for Boxing Day (Thurs., Dec. 26) and New Year’s Eve (Tues., Dec. 31) and New Year’s Day (Weds., Jan. 1st, 2026). The Fanny Bay Shellfish Market will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pick-ups but closed on Christmas Day.
