Summerland Waterfront Resort
Sees Strong Start to 2026
Earns Provincial Housekeeping Recognition
Momentum is building for the 2026 tourism season in the South Okanagan, with
Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa reporting a strong first quarter and rising bookings heading into spring and summer.

The resort team notes demand in Q1 2026 exceeded early-year expectations, with continued growth projected through the peak travel months. Advance bookings for late spring and summer are trending upward, positioning the property for a busy season.
To encourage regional travel and support British Columbians planning closer-to-home getaways, the resort is rolling out a series of seasonal experiences, including food-and-beverage events, curated stay packages, and expanded on-site programming.
Local flavour will take centre stage in May with two tasting events open to both residents and visitors. Suds and Snacks on May 1 will feature craft beer from Summerland-based Detonate Brewing, followed by Sips and Snacks on May 2, showcasing wines from Lightning Rock Winery. Tickets for both events are available to the public.
The resort will also relaunch its Summer Experiences program as the season progresses, offering nightly waterside fire pits, live music, family-friendly art activities, and full access to water amenities, including stand-up paddleboards and canoes.
For spring travellers, several in-suite packages are returning with refreshed offerings. The Redefined Date Night package includes a private in-suite dining experience with prepared meals from Flambé at Home, paired with wine. Beginning in May, guests booking the Sunset Sips and Snacks package will be welcomed with wine and charcuterie upon arrival.

Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa features studio to two-bedroom suites, all equipped with full kitchens, designed to support extended stays and in-suite dining. Amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool and year-round hot tubs, complimentary cruiser bikes for guest use, and direct access to Okanagan Lake.
The resort’s positive outlook comes alongside provincial recognition from the BC Hotel Association. Its housekeeping team, led by Rhonda Allercott, recently received the association’s Housekeeping Excellence Award, recognizing outstanding attention to detail, service consistency and guest comfort.
With early-year performance tracking ahead of expectations, new seasonal programming and award-winning service, Summerland Waterfront Resort is entering the 2026 tourism season with confidence.
