Choose Your Meal Before Departure: SWISS Introduces
Pre-Select in SWISS Economy
SWISS is expanding its meal pre-selection service to SWISS Economy. Passengers on long-haul flights departing from Switzerland can now choose between a meat dish and a vegetarian dish from Hiltl before departure. Selections can be made between six weeks and 24 hours before departure.
With the introduction of Pre-Select in SWISS Economy, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is further expanding its meal pre-selection offerings. Through the SWISS Culinary Journey on swiss.com/menu and in the SWISS app, guests can explore their flight’s food and beverage offerings in advance and select their preferred main course. Those who pre-order their meal are guaranteed to receive their chosen main course on board.
Well-Established in Other Travel Classes
Since 2022, our guests in SWISS First and SWISS Business have been enjoying Pre-Select and a wide selection of meals. Since December 2025, guests in SWISS Premium Economy are also able to pre-select from three meals. Demand is growing: SWISS receives approximately 1,000 pre-orders every day. The bestseller is the «Zürcher Geschnetzelte», which has been selected nearly 42,000 times thus far.
SWISS Business guests also benefit from Pre-Select on short-haul flights. For example, on routes such as Zurich-Düsseldorf or Zurich-London, where there is no menu selection on board, SWISS Business Class guests can choose from up to eight meals online every day.
SWISS Economy passengers on short-haul flights can also pre-order their preferred dish from the SWISS Saveurs menu. This entitles them to a 10 percent discount off the original price.
With the introduction of Pre-Select in SWISS Economy, SWISS is an airline with one of the most comprehensive Pre-Select offerings worldwide.
