food, farms, music, theatre and art
Discover Naramata is inviting visitors to experience harvest season through Naramata Gathers — A Celebration of Wine, Food, Harvest & the Arts, a new celebration running from Friday, October 2, to Monday, October 12, throughout Naramata Village and the Naramata Bench.
Naramata Gathers will bring together wineries, restaurants, farms, accommodations, artists, musicians, performers, shops and community organizations for a collection of special events, experiences and seasonal offerings celebrating one of the region’s most plentiful times of year.
Rather than taking place at one festival site, Naramata Gathers will unfold throughout the community, allowing visitors to choose from individual experiences and accommodations and build their own fall getaway.
“Fall might just be Naramata’s best-kept secret,” says Ben Chimes, President, Discover Naramata. “Harvest is happening all around you. Grapes are coming off the vines, orchards and farms are bringing in the last abundance of the season, winemakers are deep into vintage, and our restaurants are cooking with what’s growing around us. Naramata Gathers is an invitation to come experience that.”

One Man Pride and Prejudice at Tempest Theatre, Oct 2–4
Tempest Theatre, in collaboration with Discover Naramata, welcomes back acclaimed performer Charles Ross for a limited run of One Man Pride and Prejudice, October 2–4 at the Tempest Theatre in Penticton. Best known for his hit solo productions One Man Star Wars and One Man Lord of the Rings, Ross brings his signature style to the classic story, playing every character—including Darcy—himself in a fast-paced, hilarious and heartfelt homage to the beloved 1995 BBC adaptation. Gather in the Village Pop-Up Market, Oct 4
From 1 to 4 pm on October 4, the Village of Naramata comes alive with a pop-up market, live music and special offerings from local shops, including pulled pork sandwiches from the Naramata General Store’s take-out window, creating the perfect afternoon to wander, shop and soak up the community’s laid-back charm.
Naramata Gathers Harvest Celebration, Oct 10
A special evening celebrating the harvest in Naramata will bring together exceptional food, local wine, live music and community. Chef Ned Bell and Chef Zac Chan of Kin & Folk, together with the Kin & Folk team, will lead a casual, grazing-style culinary experience at Naramata Centre. The evening begins at 4 pm with charcuterie and a welcome glass of local wine, followed by an opportunity to wander between indoor and outdoor spaces, sampling delicious dishes, discovering regional wines and enjoying live music. Roll Out the Barrel with the Naramata Bench Wineries Association, Oct 11
From 12 to 4 pm, guests can make their way along the Naramata Bench as participating wineries roll out the barrels, offering samples of wines in varying stages of craft and creation, along with a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the excitement of harvest. Details available here.
Harvest Market at Modesta Winery, Oct 11
From 11 am to 4 pm on October 11, Modesta Winery welcomes the season with its Harvest Market. Sip wine while browsing a curated selection of local growers and makers offering fall favourites, from hearty harvest soup and fresh sourdough to pies, preserves, flowers and vintage finds. Come hungry, gather some provisions for home and settle in with a glass of wine while soaking up the season’s sights and flavours. Details available here.
In addition, The Bistro at Hillside Winery is offering Thanksgiving dinners on October 10 and 11, while Bistro Lapin Perdu at Naramata Inn is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner on October 11.
