Here are a few of our favourites:

Riesling – Confiscated 2024

Grown in Washington. Made in BC.

Made in Osoyoos, from premium Washington grown grapes on the southern shore of Lake Chelan, just 2 hours south of Moon Curser. This Riesling is the perfect patio wine with a touch of sweetness, bright acidity and notes of green apple, white peach and orange peel. Confiscate away!

Tasting Notes
Our 2024 Riesling – Confiscated is a harmonious and balanced white wine. The grapes are grown on the Clos CheValle Vineyard at an altitude between 1,300 and 1,500 feet, which allowed for balanced ripening process that maintained fresh and bright acidity alongside sugar development. The wine is pale lemon in colour, with enticing aromas of orange peel, white peach and green apple on the nose. On the palate, the bright acidity is balanced perfectly with a hint of sweetness, delivering a refreshing wine with lovely texture and flavours of orange marmalade and nashi pears, all underpinned by a lingering hint of subtle minerality. This crisp wine is ready to drink now, but has enough acidity that it will reward those who choose to cellar. Aging further will allow the Riesling to evolve, and develop intriguing secondary flavour characteristics of honey and petrol. Enjoy this wine on its own, or with coconut shrimp, beef curry, smoked trout or pork tenderloin with apples.

The 2022 vintage of our flagship Dead of Night is comprised of the top performing barrels from each of our Syrah and Tannat blocks. This wine is exceptional, with a deep ruby colour that hints at its depth and complexity. On the nose, a complex bouquet unfolds, revealing notes of dark fruit, coffee, gingerbread and dried fig. The backbone of acidity carries the palate of this dry, full-bodied wine, while the fine tannins provide a luxurious mouthfeel. The intense flavours of raspberry coulis, pomegranate, blackcurrant, cocoa and cedar dominate the palate, while the rich oak profile adds depth and nuance. Whether enjoyed within a year or two of release, (preferably after decanting) on its own, or paired with a gourmet meal like braised lamb, a hearty beef stew, mushroom bourguignon, dark chocolate chili & cherry brownies, or a triple cream brie, this wine will be sure to impress. Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Moon Curser welcomes Cabernet Sauvignon back, but aged for 24 months in French oak. A world-renowned variety; a fantastic East Bench location. Complex, big, and takes no prisoners.

PLATINUM MEDAL – 2025 Great Northwest Wine Platinum Awards  &  TOP 50 – 2025 BC Wine Awards Top 50  &  GOLD MEDAL – 2025 WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada

Tasting Notes

This beautiful Osoyoos East Bench Cabernet Sauvignon, grown exclusively from our Fernandes Vineyard, is a full-bodied red wine that is deep ruby in colour. It has an pronounced nose of black fruit, cigar box, blueberry and clove. It has a round but light acidic structure with fine, firm tannins that provide a perfect complement to the flavour profile of black plum, leather, anise and chocolate. The dense and rich midpalate is backed up by an incredibly long finish, with an oak warmth. Our Cabernet Sauvignon starts to come into its own at least two years after bottling, although the vibrant fruit present in the wine also renders it quite approachable upon release, especially after a decant. If you like your red wines big, this wine is for you. It will continue to evolve and reward those with patience who cellar this wine over the next eight to ten years (or through 2033 – 2035). This bold wine makes an excellent pairing choice for lamb ragout, Texas-style brisket, oxtail risotto or even a salted dark chocolate tart.

Syrah 2022

South Okanagan Syrah is a thing of beauty: dark, rich fruit; notes of violet and blackcurrant.

PLATINUM MEDAL – 2024 Great Northwest Wine Platinum Awards

Tasting Notes

Syrah has become one of the main pillars of the Moon Curser portfolio, providing us with a consistently magnificent wine, year after year. The 2022 iteration of our Syrah shows no sign of that trend slowing down. The wine is deep purple in colour and offers a complex and layered bouquet of aromatics on the nose. Aromas of blueberry, gingerbread and rose petals lead the way, while subtle notes of vanilla, licorice and chocolate further add depth to the aromatic profile. On the palate, this Syrah is dry with a medium-full body and a rounded acidity that enhances its weight and generous texture. Flavours of raspberry jam, blackberry and black plum dominate, complemented by bright accents of red currant and cranberry. Subtle undertones of toffee and a touch of white pepper add additional complexity and interest. The finish is lingering and satisfying, with echoes of vanilla and chocolate. While the wine will continue to age beautifully over the next seven years, through 2031, it will be equally impressive if drank now. Especially fitting will be a pairing with peppered steak, beef teriyaki, vegetarian goulash, or swiss cheese.
