Science World Goes Jack-o’-Lantern + Two New Exhibitions
and Halloween After Dark

We’re thrilled to share what’s happening at Science World this fall: two new exhibitions have just launched, Game Changers and The Robot Zoo, plus a Halloween After Dark you won’t want to miss. And starting October 24, keep an eye on the skyline as Science World’s dome lights up like a giant jack-o’-lantern for the season.

Game Changers

Game Changers, presented by TD Bank Group, opens today at Science World, and runs through January 24, 2027.

Game Changers takes visitors from the simple graphics and sounds of the first PONG to the photo-realistic, immersive gaming experiences of today, exploring the technological innovations, creative ideas and cultural influences that have transformed the way we play — and the way we interact with computer technology.

The exhibition brings together more than 140 iconic titles, 16 of them playable, spanning arcade classics like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong to console milestones like Super Mario 64. Along the way, visitors can see how advances in graphics, motion sensing, music and storytelling have each pushed the boundaries of what a video game can be.

After Dark: Sinister Science – Halloween Edition

Science World After Dark turns sinister for our most spine-tingling event of the year. This ain’t no kids Halloween party: adults 19+ are invited to explore a haunted dome with a bewitching brew, unsettling spectacles, and shock-worthy science.

Date: Friday, October 30, 2026
Time: 6-10 PM

What to expect:

Performances: Drag King Vincent Rice emcees at Centre Stage, introducing Canada’s wildest sword swallower, Neil E. Dee, for a night of death-defying stunts including machete beds, brick-breaking and human dartboard acts.

Sinister Science Talk: In the Science Theatre, PhD candidate Jeffrey Yung reveals how forensic entomologists use insects to estimate time of death, detect poisons and tell whether remains have been moved.

The Robot Zoo

The Robot Zoo, presented by White Spot Restaurants, is now open and runs through April 4, 2027.

The 5,000-square-foot exhibition features eight larger-than-life robotic animals, including a giant squid with 18-foot tentacles, a house fly with a 10-foot wingspread and a giraffe whose head and neck alone stretch 9 feet tall. More than a dozen hands-on interactives show how animals move, hunt, adapt and survive, and the engineering behind it all.

About The Robot Zoo

The Robot Zoo is an internationally touring exhibition developed by Evergreen Exhibitions. Through larger-than-life robotic animals, interactive experiences and engaging educational content, the exhibition explores the biomechanics of animals by comparing biological systems with familiar machines and engineering principles. Designed for visitors of all ages, The Robot Zoo demonstrates how nature has inspired innovation while encouraging curiosity about science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).
