The highly popular Les Dames d’Escoffier, British Columbia Chapter (LDBC) Culinary Garage Sale is back and at a new location! Join fellow foodies for this legendary free annual fundraiser on Saturday, August 22nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at LaSalle College Vancouver (2808 Bradfield Court, Vancouver, BC). Early Bird Power Hour is back from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. ($15 in advance or $20 at the door).
This is no ordinary sale – it’s a chefs’ treasure trove of culinary gems perfect for culinary students, home or professional cooks, and collectors alike. Shoppers can expect great deals and to savour the savings with all purchases supporting Les Dames d’Escoffier BC Chapter scholarships and educational initiatives.
The LDBC events team is especially delighted to cook up a new partnership to provide the best shopping experience with BC’s newest and most state-of-the-art creative campus, LaSalle College Vancouver. The institution’s Facility Lead and Head Baking and Pastry Instructor, Chef Mandy Vial has fully embraced the opportunity to generously host the event.
As a recipient of a Les Dames BC Chapter scholarship, Mandy Vial is now bringing her experience with Les Dames full circle by acting as the event liaison for LaSalle College Vancouver. She says, “I am beyond excited to co-ordinate this event with Les Dames. I received a Les Dames scholarship to advance my culinary career, and my participation now allows me to express my gratitude and raise funds to help other BC women develop their careers in the culinary, beverage and hospitality industries.”
