Canada’s Longest-Running Gingerbread Display Event Returns

MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT: HYATT REGENCY VANCOUVER ANNOUNCES RETURN OF BELOVED GINGERBREAD LANE CHARITY EVENT THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Canada’s Longest-Running Gingerbread Display Event Returns for 34th Season This November and December with Donations to Benefit Make-A-Wish Canada

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is getting set to make spirits bright once again this holiday season by announcing it will host the 34th annual edition of its Gingerbread Lane charity event to benefit Make-A-Wish Canada from Fri., Nov. 27th to Mon., Dec. 28th at the Downtown Vancouver hotel (655 Burrard St.).

The beloved holiday tradition is recognized as Canada’s longest-running gingerbread display event and brings people together to celebrate the spirit of creativity, compassion and giving as the hotel lobby is transformed into a festive wonderland filled with gingerbread houses crafted by talented members of the community.

Gingerbread Lane Participants are divided into three categories — Professional, for anyone who earns income from baking, pastry or culinary work, Amateur, for hobby bakers and individuals who do not earn income from baking or pastry, and classes from Secondary Schools throughout the Lower Mainland.

Admission to the event is free, and visitors are encouraged to support Make-A-Wish Canada through convenient tap-to-donate stations and QR codes displayed throughout the exhibit. In 2025, the event raised $35,000 to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

“We’re thrilled to host the 34th edition of a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates community, spreads holiday cheer and raises money for a very worthy cause,” says Hyatt Regency Vancouver General Manager Patrick Gosselin. “We look forward to making this year’s event even bigger and better than past editions and helping to make spirits bright for kids who need it the most at this time of year.”
