Many of the creatures at Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre hatch their young in fascinating ways – from decorating dens, to holding offspring in their mouths, to sitting on eggs – and the Aquarium’s eggs-perts have come up with a cracking-good way to share these spectacular stories. From Friday, April 14 to Monday, April 17, visitors with a keen eye can take part in the Aquarium’s first-ever Easter Scavenger Hunt and learn curious and captivating facts about the eggs of aquatic animals along the way.
Fun for the whole family, the Easter Scavenger Hunt will provide trivia clues and lead visitors on a journey through the Aquarium’s galleries, from the warmth of the Tropics to the cooler but oh-so-colourful B.C. Waters, in search of the hidden eggs. By learning the eggs-traordinary stories, visitors will use their newfound knowledge to solve the clues and uncover the secret word. Visitors can then return their completed trivia form to receive a chocolate treat and enter to win one of three up-close-and-personal Animal Encounters with either curious penguins, majestic sea lions, or playful sea otters. This engaging behind-the-scenes experience allows guests to explore the animal habitat and participate in a training or feeding session alongside a marine mammal trainer, getting to know the animals as well as the challenges they face in the wild.
