Tickets to the first three dinners at No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews — a world-class ‘restaurant-within-a-restaurant’ concept just announced by the acclaimed team behind Gastown hotspot L’Abattoir — have just been released.
With the first three dates scheduled for May 19, June 23 and July 21, No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews offers a unique opportunity for culinary aficionados to take part in an ultra-indulgent dining experience unlike any other. The 10-course interactive experience will see eight guests per month gather together to witness renowned chef and L’Abattoir co-owner Lee Cooper prepare and present his signature brand of celebrated French-via-West-Coast cuisine before their very eyes.
The brainchild of Cooper and acclaimed restaurateur and L’Abattoir co-owner Paul Grunberg, No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews is located in a historic cobblestone courtyard within the brick-and-beam environs of L’Abattoir and presents a truly world-class experience for guests from start to finish. Additional special touches include an elegant welcome package mailed in advance, fine crystal glassware and table settings, custom décor, and keepsake gifts for each guest to take home.
The first of its kind in Vancouver, No. 1 Gaoler’s Mews follows in the footsteps of a number of notable restaurant-within-a-restaurant concepts such as É by José Andrés (Las Vegas), Blanca (New York) and Kitchen Table (London).
