Executive Chef Alex Chen Invites Guests to Share in the Spirit of the Season with Festive Christmas Feasts, Exclusive New Year’s Eve Soirée

Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar Executive Chef Alex Chen and his talented team will get into the spirit of the holiday season this December by giving guests an opportunity to join them for Christmas Day brunch and dinner services as well as a gala New Year’s Eve event featuring live entertainment and party favours to usher in 2017.

CHRISTMAS DAY BRUNCH & DINNER  

Boulevard will make spirits bright in its elegant dining room on Sun., Dec. 25 by serving up gourmet four-course Christmas brunch and dinner menus available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., respectively, for $88 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Among the standout items on the Christmas brunch menu are Spiced Pumpkin Soup (cinnamon crème, pumpkin seed and oil), Croque Monsieur (slow-cooked pork shoulder, sunny side up egg, béchamel sauce, sourdough bread) and Parisian Gnocchi (slow-poached egg, wild mushroom, celeriac puree), while the Christmas dinner menu includes holiday highlights like Slow-Roasted Turkey (pine nut, apricot and brioche stuffing, Yukon gold potato, Brussels sprout, cranberry sauce, giblet gravy), Roasted Scallops (parsnip and braised celery risotto, crispy cauliflower floret, brown butter almond vinaigrette) and sweet finishing touches such as Cheesecake (cream cheese mousse, shortbread crumble, raspberry sorbet) and Bûche de Noël (pistachio, cherry, chocolate ice cream).

GALA NEW YEAR’S EVE SEATINGS    

On Sun., Dec. 31, gather friends and flip the calendar to 2017 in fine style by taking part in one of two exclusive New Year’s Eve dinner seatings at Boulevard. During early seatings from 5 to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy a three-course menu featuring live jazz music courtesy of the Jennifer Scott Trio ($108 per person plus tax and gratuity), while late seatings from 8 to 10 p.m. will feature a four-course menu, count down to midnight, party favours and live entertainment from DJ Colette Trudeau of GirlOnWax ($188 per person plus tax and gratuity).

Among the many menu highlights offered to New Year’s revelers are Local Pine Mushroom Consommé (dashi, Dungeness crab royale, sea urchin), Soft Poached Side Stripe Shrimp (butternut squash, burrata cheese, pumpkin seed, shellfish and verjus vinaigrette), Housemade Bucatini (butter poached lobster, cognac, tarragon, sauce Americaine) and Porcini Crusted Canadian Prime NY Steak (foie gras béarnaise, trumpet mushroom, sauce bordelaise) as well as dessert courses that include Salted Sesame Bar (roasted white and black sesame praline crunch, sesame mousse, caramel ice cream) and Duo of Fruit and Chocolate (variations of yuzu, hazelnut praline mousseline, Valrhona brownie, caramelia ice cream). À-la-carte pricing is available for both menus, as well as additions such as Seared Foie Gras, Shaved White Alba or Black Perigord Truffles, Japanese Wagyu and Caviar.
