For many chefs and their brigades, curry is the ultimate family-style staff meal; the proud product of a cook’s cultural heritage.

On Tuesday, March 4th, eight of Vancouver’s top chefs will compete to win the inaugural Curry Cup.  Join the Chefs’ Table Society of B.C., emcee Fred Lee  and a distinguished panel of judges including Angus An (chef/owner of Longtail and Maenam), Jeff Hamada (Japanese Canadian artist/creator of Boooooom),  Joie Alvaro Kent (food writer and restaurant award judge), Mijune Pak (founder of Follow Me Foodie and food columnist for the WE Vancouver) and Mike Bernardo (Director of Operations/Wine Director at Vij’s)  in choosing the winner.

Tickets to the Curry Cup are $59 and include eight unique international curries highlighting diverse flavours from around the world served by the competing chefs,  select B.C. wines from Mt. Boucherie, Dirty Laundry and more, craft beer from R&B Brewing Co. and Steamworks Brewery, and non-alcoholic creations from celebrity mixologist Lauren Mote and Bittered Sling Extracts.

Chefs’ Table Society of B.C. members (in good standing) will also receive a complimentary CTS branded Reidel crystal wine glass (while supplies last) upon presentation of their  membership card at the event. Non-members can purchase one of these keepsake glasses for an additional $10.

All proceeds from the Curry Cup will go the Chefs’ Table Society of B.C. in order to support their various scholarships and charitable partners including Growing Chefs, who will be presented with a cheque at the event.
