BIG Names, BIG Bottles, BIG Party
Wine aficionados always linger longer at the exclusive Magnum Party, a treasured ticket at Taste of Tulalip – the Resort Casino’s annual award-winning weekend event. Taking place November 15, this exclusive Saturday sampling is expanding to two rooms which will allow for a greater audience. Executive Chef Perry Mascitti and Sommelier Tommy Thompson will welcome Food Network star Ming Tsai, who will prepare a superfluity of his signature dishes to complement a princely selection of pours.
21 representatives from among global elite wineries will pour samples from big-ticket 750ml and large format bottles of limited and rare vintages. This year’s star vino includes heavy hitters like Chateau Cos d’Estournel, Krug Clos du Mesnil, Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion, Harlan Estate, Penfolds Grange, Chateau Lynch-Bages, Verite “La Muse”, M. Chapoutier L’Ermitage Blanc, and CIRQ Pinot Noir. The Magnum Party brewery lineup will also include 9 old and new world artisan beer leaders, such as Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Chimay, Double Mountain Brewery, Uinta Brewing Company, Deschutes Brewery, and Breakside Brewery.
The 2014 Taste of Tulalip beneficiary is the Tulalip Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization working to improve the well-being of the Tulalip and surrounding communities. The Tulalip Foundation will join past recipients such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, Food Lifeline, and FareStart as a recipient of this annual event.
Taste of Tulalip’s Magnum party will take place from Noon to 4pm and is only open to those who purchase a Saturday “All Access” ticket, which includes a cooking demonstration, wine seminar, Rock & Roll Challenge and the Grand Taste. Priced at $350 per person, tickets are limited. To purchase “All Access” admission, go to www.tasteoftulalip.com.
