There’s no more enjoyable week for a wine lover than the annual Vancouver International Wine Festival. Where else can you try so many wines, share so many tips, pick up the hot buzz and make new wine friends? This year’s festival celebrates the wines of Australia. With that in mind I’m recommending you warm up for the Festival with the Barossa Valley Estate Shiraz. This is Aussie wine making the way it used to be. Full bodied, gutsy, a take no prisoners Shiraz that I enjoyed from the first spicy sip. I’m hoping it’s a sign of what to expect later this month at the Festival. This Shiraz also got some serious love from Van Mag in their recent wine awards. Pair this rich, peppery wine with lamb popsicles.
