2009 Nebbiolo

Masolino

Barolo, Italy

$76.00

Bronze Medal

Garnet red/brick in colour with medium-deep intensity. Stewed cherries, earth and leather notes on the nose. Good balance with a slightly sweet entry and firm tannins. Pleasing fruit on the palate followed by a medium finish. I’d let this one age for another 5-10 years so it can show its potential.

2007 Nebbiolo

Martinenga

Barbaresco, Italy

$95.00

Silver Medal

Age has helped this wine develop some complexity. Garnet brick in colour with medium-deep intensity. The nose shows aromas of dried red fruit, tar, leather, soy and sweet spice. Well balanced with firm tannins. The flavours echo the nose with a medium plus finish. This wine will continue to improve for another 5-8 years easily.
