Perch offers a West Coast Dine Out menu

Perch participates in 14th annual Dine Out Vancouver Festival with a $30 three-course menu.

The holiday season is over but the vibrant food scene at the AMS Student Nest is not slowing down anytime soon. Perch, Vancouver’s non-profit restaurant, is amongst the 288 restaurants taking part in the 14th annual Dine Out Vancouver Festival that runs from January 15 to January 31, 2016.

With sustainable ingredients from local producers including UBC Farm, Chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson brings a West Coast, upscale dining experience to this year’s culinary celebration with a $30.00 (tax excluded) three-course meal that includes:

Appetizer (choose one)

Corn & Potato Soup, charred corn, creme fraiche, crispy onions 

Seared Rare Albacore Tuna, German potato salad

Entree (choose one)

Pan Roasted Steelhead Trout, leeks and confit potatoes

Braised Beef Short Rib, goulash

Wild Prairie Grains, roasted mushroom & poached hen’s egg

Dessert

Almond & Coriander Creme Brûlée, fresh raspberries

Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. Add wine pairings for $18.00.

Chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson will also take part in 6-Course Discourse, presented by Follow Me Foodie, at the Stadium Theatre, Edgewater Casino (750 Pacific Blvd, Vancouver) on January 19, where he serves artistically-prepared canapés as attendees join in to mingle and listen on the panel of chef speakers discuss one epic topic.
