Long Table Distillery took a seat at the proverbial head of the table when the results of the inaugural Vancouver International Spirits Competition were announced on Saturday, April 16. The Vancouver-based small-batch craft distillery claimed first place in the Gin Category for its flagship London Dry Gin.

The judges also recognized Long Table’s Cucumber Gin and Texada Vodka on the list of the top 75 spirits overall.
It’s not the first time that Long Table’s small-batch, handcrafted spirits have been singled out for praise. Its London Dry label was awarded a silver medal and its Cucumber Gin grabbed the gold at the 2015 World Spirits Competition in San Francisco, while London Dry was named Best in Show at the Gold Medal Plates in Victoria in 2013. In winning gold at the Vancouver International Spirits Competition, Long Table’s London Dry shared the podium with No. 3 Gin of the Netherlands (second place) and Berkeley Square Gin of the U.K. (third place).

“Our entire team is extremely excited that our gin has been recognized with the top prize in this prestigious competition,” said Charles Tremewen, Founder and Master Distiller. “We have always been proud to provide West Coast gin lovers with a spirit that they can appreciate, enjoy and call their own, though it’s an honour to also be recognized on a global scale.”
