If you love a little sugar in your life, then Spring into Sugar’d! Taking place at 102-5660 176A Street Surrey, it’s being held publicly on May 3rd from 4-6pm, with an exclusive media hour from 6-7pm.
The Cause
Sponsored by Fresita Sparkling Wine, this event is being assembled to highlight greener, more eco-friendly aesthetic products, such as the edible and naturally biodegradable sugar paste that Sugar’d creates and is known for. In stark contrast to waxing, sugaring is less painful, more effective, and better for our environment.
When you consider how much waste is created by other methods of body hair removal (ahem-waxing), it’s completely astounding. Here’s a stat: in 2014, the average Canadian spent $1207 on personal care, including body hair removal. Why spend your dollars contributing to environmental practices that are less than ideal?
The Event
Running with the theme of sugar, this sweet event will provide its attendees with locally-made cupcakes and candy varieties, and will include the delicious, summery bubbles that only Fresita can provide! (6-7pm, only.)
